My client, a global technology business based near WATERLOO STATION is seeking an accomplished PAYROLLER to join their growing business.

PLEASE NOTE : THIS ROLE IS BASED IN THE OFFICE FOR 2 DAYS (Tue and Thu)

THE ROLE

Payroll Processing:

  • Accurately process global bi-weekly/monthly payrolls for all employees, including regular, overtime, and incentive payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll distribution.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare necessary payroll reports.

Compliance:

  • Ensure payroll practices comply with country, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports and payments in a timely manner.

Employee Support:

  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, people operations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees regarding payroll setup and procedures.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system.
  • Ensure data integrity and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with People team, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency.

Reporting:

  • Generate payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
  • Provide financial data and reports as required by management.
  • Assist with year-end processing and reporting, including P60’s, W-2s and other tax documents.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 2-3 years payroll experience
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with time pressures within payroll.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable to continuous changes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and People processes.
