Graduate Lighting Designer (scheme design)

£25,000 - £30,000 basic

They are seeking a talented and enthusiastic graduate or junior designer with a background in graphic design, visual design, or digital design, who is passionate about pursuing a career in lighting design. The successful candidate will have a keen aspiration to contribute to high-quality work and will be offered the opportunity to develop their skills in the dynamic field of lighting design. This role will provide an introduction to lighting design as a creative discipline, with a focus on technical knowledge, an understanding of lighting principles, and familiarity with industry standards. You will gain hands-on experience in architectural consultancy, working on a range of exciting commercial, residential, hospitality, gallery, and public realm projects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or similar qualification in graphic design, visual design, digital design, or a related field. You should have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, is essential. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and 3D modelling software would be an advantage. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be expected to liaise with both internal teams and clients. The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain clear communication is crucial. You should have a genuine interest in lighting design and a willingness to learn and grow within the architectural consultancy industry.

Location: London office with flexible working arrangements (office, remote, or hybrid) to suit the successful candidate.
