Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a global market leader in combustion management systems.

Established over 50 years, they are the largest distributor in Europe for Ray Burners. They offer installation, service and maintenance services to a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, educational and leisure. They carry out a lot of work on Universities, Hotels, NHS, Museums, Car Showrooms, Food Manufacturing sites etc.

As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will join the service and support team, working with a team of 15 engineers serving a customer base of currently 500 customers. Servicing a wide range of commercial and industrial heating systems, including industrial steam plant.

This is a permanent position, covering London, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The salary is paying 50k per annum. The call out rota is 1 in 6.

Responsibilities

Service/PPM/Breakdown support of Customers heating appliances.
Identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Installation of manufactured company equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures while working on-site.
Job reporting and paperwork management.
Provide technical assistance and training to customers.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
Work closely with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and customer support staff.
Provide remote technical assistance to customers when necessary.
Take part in an on-call rota and attend callouts (1 week in 6)

Skills & Attributes

Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
Preferred experience on steam boilers and water level controls.
Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment.
Basic electrical skills would be beneficial.
Competent in pipework installation, steel, copper, plastic.
Good communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
Full UK Driving License.
