Job Overview:We are seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist with adult respiratory skills to join the Emergency Department at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. This role involves delivering urgent physiotherapy interventions to acutely unwell patients, focusing on respiratory care, elderly care, and rapid discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, treat, and manage patients with acute respiratory conditions in an emergency setting.
- Utilize airway clearance techniques, oxygen therapy, ABG analysis, NIV, cough assist, and CXR interpretation.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning.
- Provide specialist physiotherapy care for elderly patients requiring urgent intervention.
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist with NHS experience.
- Experience in inpatient physiotherapy with strong adult respiratory skills.
- Proficiency in ABG interpretation, NIV use, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance.
- Previous experience in an Emergency Department or Acute Setting is desirable.
