Senior Ecologist required to work across the UK in multiple locations. This role is a fully remote position, working from home and in the field in your local area. You have the flexibility of managing your own time without having to visit an office location.

My client is looking for a someone at Senior level who wants to expand their current skill set and project management skills in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of UK Habitat Classification Surveys, (licenced) protected species surveyBuilding tenders and creating complex fee quotations at speed;
  • Producing complex technical reports (PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM reports, HRAs and EcIAs);
  • Managing medium to large sized projects with ability to track financial progress;
  • Logistical and legislative problem solving

Skills required:

  • You must have full membership the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management - MCIEEM, a relevant bachelor’s degree (or higher) and at least one protected species licence. A Personal Track Safety accreditation would be a bonus.
  • Prioritise workloads and complete tasks in a timely manner;
  • Have high attention to detail, especially in technical reporting;
  • A strength UK wildlife legislation and understand how to apply it correctly;
  • Have clear and consistent communication skills;
  • Be personable and a team player, even on tough days
  • Have a desire for line management
