Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services to our social housing tenants, ensuring their homes are safe, functional, and comfortable. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the well-being of the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform plumbing work related to the construction and repair of social housing units
  • Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs and maintenance for social housing properties
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot plumbing issues.
  • Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, sinks, and pipes.
  • Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a social housing context.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques, tools, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have a certification or diploma in plumbing.
  • Experience working in social housing or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
