Role Overview - Behaviour Mentor - Southwark

  • You will assist in managing classroom behaviour, developing individual behaviour plans
  • Offering one-on-one support to students facing behavioural challenges. Your role will also include:
  • Providing tailored support to students who are at risk of exclusion or disengagement.
  • Delivering strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Monitoring and tracking progress of students on individual behaviour plans.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff, senior leadership, and external agencies to support students.
  • Organising and facilitating group or individual sessions to address behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Supporting students during break times and transitions to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

About You - Behaviour Mentor - Southwark

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional challenges.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • The ability to build trust and rapport with students, helping them feel supported and motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in the face of challenging situations.
