Our client, a prominent FCA and internationally regulated sell-side firm based in central London, is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead their busy compliance team. This senior-level position involves working across the organisation and engaging closely with senior managers to ensure a strong and effective compliance culture is embedded throughout the business.This is a broad and varied role, requiring a proactive approach to ensuring the firm adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The position involves horizon scanning to keep the firm ahead of emerging regulatory changes, updating policies and procedures, and managing risks in a fast-paced and demanding environment. An important aspect of the role is overseeing the ongoing development of the compliance team, so the ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for coaching and mentoring others.The role also includes collaborating with overseas regulators and external lawyers, ensuring compliance is managed effectively across jurisdictions. Strong working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders will be vital, alongside an ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks with precision.Our client is keen to engage with seasoned compliance professionals who have significant sell-side experience and a proven track record of building and managing high-performing compliance teams. Candidates should be comfortable working at a senior level and possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as holding relevant industry qualifications.
