Reporting into the Deputy MLRO & MLRO, The Compliance Associate will support the Compliance team in ensuring that the company's operations align with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with onboarding of new clients in line with our Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crime policies and procedures.
  • Creation of Client profiles and ongoing management of client accounts.
  • Carrying out due diligence enquiries as part of client acceptance and on an ongoing basis with support and supervision.
  • Carrying out periodic review on clients.
  • Carrying out Transaction Monitoring in real time.
  • Review matches in the overnight screening queue.
  • Assisting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), their deputies and officers as and when required.
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports for senior staff and management.
  • Assisting with various aspects of the companies’ developmental projects and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Be responsible for answering queries in the inbox

The successful candidate will likely have:

  • Experience in a Fintech/EMI would be prefered.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, including AML, KYC (Know Your Customer), and payment systems regulations.
  • Knowledge of Financial Regulations, familiarity with the Financial Conduct Authority, Payment Services Regulation, Anti-Money Laundering Directives
  • Confident and pro-active with excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Enjoy research, administrative support and new challenges.
  • Able to analyse complex information, extrapolate and communicate relevant information in an effective manner.
  • Interested in developing their risk and compliance skillset.
  • Professional and presentable with an adaptable and positive mindset.
  • Suitably proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT skills.
  • A Degree Qualification in Law, Accounting, Business or similar.
