My client is a leading Facilities company looking for an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join the team. Operating as part of the team to constantly strive for the best possible safety standards. Leading the review of RAMS, issuing of Permits and managing contractors safely on and off of site.

To assist in the provision of an exceptionally high standard of building maintenance services encompassing project upgrades, planned and reactive works.

Job Decription

  • Responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, Company and Client policy and procedural compliance and have the utmost regard for staff, contractor and public safety.
  • Lead the induction, learning and permit processes as part of a small team based within the Permit Office.
  • Review Contractor RAMS for approval in advance of works.
  • Visit work sites to assess work for compliance to site and business policy.
  • Ensure correct Permit to Work implemented.
  • Record and Monitor Electrical and Mechanical Isolations to ensure the applicable documentation is in place and correctly recorded.
  • Compile and maintain safety files and other related relevant files.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is in place, accurate and appropriately filed to assist with internal and external auditing.
  • Report on sub-contractor performance where repetitive matters of safety are not being addressed according to requirements.
  • SHE Committee Meetings - plan, scheduled and review.
  • Attend Safety and Compliance meetings on behalf of the department
  • Coordinate and participate in the investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses.
  • Prepare monthly SHE reports, statistics and presentations related to Permit Office performance.
  • Report to the Service Support Manager / Client SHEQ Manager on corrective action taken to close out of NCR reports utilising Company and Client systems to manage.
  • Supervise the regular inspection of firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment on site.
  • Assist in development and implementing of emergency response procedures. Ensure that these plans are reviewed and updated regularly.
  • Ensure that the emergency plans are communicated to staff and visitors and update registers on training and induction.
  • Establish Safe Work Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Instructions for tasks as and when required and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate registration and record keeping of all legislative requirements in conjunction with the management team i.e. (PPE registers, Awareness training registers, Technical training, all office inspection related registers).
  • Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time by management.
  • Collate Health and Safety documentation for authorities.
  • Review and update the Health and Safety plan as required.

Essentials

  • IOSH, NEBOSH or similar SHEQ qualification
