We are seeking a knowledgeable Compliance Manager to provide the business with day-to-day advisory and oversight activities, assist in the delivery of the compliance plan and manage the compliance relationship with assigned managed client.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Compliance in delivering the compliance plan and reporting to boards and committees.
  • Manage junior compliance team members, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Analyze regulatory changes and update staff and clients.
  • Review and develop compliance policies annually.
  • Lead compliance meetings with clients, providing advice.
  • Deliver compliance training to staff and clients.
  • Provide sanctions advice within SLAs.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and transitioning exiting clients.
  • Review risk controls quarterly and raise issues as needed.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns.
  • Participate in additional projects as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of UK insurance regulation and experience with a Lloyd’s insurance market
  • Experience applying regulatory knowledge in an insurance business.
  • Experience with sanctions referrals and conduct risk.
  • Degree-level education preferred and ACII qualified or working towards it.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
