Compliance OfficerAward-winning Law Firm£28,0006 month contract +The FirmCrone Corkill is working on a rare opportunity for LLB qualified Compliance Officer to join an award winning law firm in their North London office on a full-time contractual basis.Renowned for their expert knowledge across family law, intellectual property through to property and contentious matters, they are well known in the London legal market and offer a social and supportive culture, with many staff members there for over 10 years. The team is looking for a detail oriented compliance officer to join the team on an immediate basis.The RoleYou will partner with internal stakeholders and ensure processes are upheld & continuously improved:

  • Advising and supporting fee earners and business functions on client matters including client care & AML
  • Processing compliance & conflict checks
  • Carrying out background checks
  • Processing identification & security documents
  • Liaising with fee-earners, paralegals and clients to obtain outstanding information.
  • Handling conflicts, AML, sanctions and risk assessment queries in the client inbox.
  • Writing risk assessments and providing appropriate risk ratings.
  • Assisting with MLRO reporting
  • Updating the firm's case management system as an ongoing requirement.
  • Dealing with ad hoc queries, including requests for reopening files and background checks
