Director of Client Strategy

Job Purpose Summary:

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and innovative Director of Client Strategy to join our Executive Leadership Team. This role is essential in defining and executing the company's strategy while leading and motivating the Client Experience team to deliver projects globally. The successful candidate will ensure that clients' creative and strategic objectives are defined, realised, and supported, driving our client’s purpose to deliver an amazing experience for its clients and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Development: Collaborate with the Executive Team to drive the strategic development of the company.
  2. Creative Leadership: Take the creative and strategic lead on accounts/projects, providing advice and guidance to all teams and identifying upselling opportunities.
  3. Innovation: Develop ground-breaking concepts for key clients that set us apart from competitors.
  4. Revenue Growth: Work with DS&M to identify new revenue opportunities, services, partnerships, and markets for expansion.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing Client Experience team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  6. Client Representation: Represent Client Experience team within our client base and at industry events.
  7. Key Account Management: Develop three specific client accounts responsible for key account revenue growth.
  8. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  9. Line Management: Oversee the Technical Director, Account Director, and Executive Producer.
  10. Client Satisfaction: Ensure overall client satisfaction of projects as measured by end-of-project NPS surveys.
  11. Budget Management: Manage an annual pitch budget and ensure a return on investment.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of delivering live, virtual, and hybrid events globally in the corporate world.
  • Personable and engaging personality with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Collaborative work style with the Executive Team.
  • Strategic thinker capable of content strategy conversations with clients at various levels.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
