Description
Governance Manager
- Monitor and develop a robust governance frameworks.
- Provide comprehensive support to the Board of Trustees and the Strategic Leadership Team
- Manage governance meetings including setting agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-ups.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes within the not-for-profit sector and ensure compliance.
- Facilitate risk management processes and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process of the organisation.
- Support the C-Suite department in their operational and strategic objectives.
- Promote a culture of good governance within the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with charity legislation and best practice
Profile
A successful Governance Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a governance role, ideally within a not-for-profit organisation.
- Working knowledge of Charity Commissions guidelines and the Charities Act
- Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Outstanding minuting experience
