Description

Governance Manager

  • Monitor and develop a robust governance frameworks.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Board of Trustees and the Strategic Leadership Team
  • Manage governance meetings including setting agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-ups.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes within the not-for-profit sector and ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate risk management processes and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process of the organisation.
  • Support the C-Suite department in their operational and strategic objectives.
  • Promote a culture of good governance within the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with charity legislation and best practice

Profile

A successful Governance Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a governance role, ideally within a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Working knowledge of Charity Commissions guidelines and the Charities Act
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding minuting experience
