We are currently partnering with a Housing Association based in Middlesex, who are recruiting for a Governance Manager to join their growing team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £52,582.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring the governance framework, ensuring alignment with regulations and best practices
  • Providing expert governance advice to the Board, committees and subsidiaries
  • Organising and managing board and committee meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking and decision tracking.
  • Maintaing the company registers, managing Companies House filings and overseeing compliance returns
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, addressing governance-related enquiries and concerns
  • Advising on governance trends and best practices to support long-term strategic goals

Desirable Experience:

  • CGI Company Secretarial Qualification
  • Company secretarial / governance experience with a social housing provider

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Professional knowledge of the legal, regulatory and policy frameworks in which housing associations operate
  • Proven experience in governance, risk management, and compliance, ideally within a regulated sector such as housing, public, or charitable sector
