Governance Project Manager (Service Change)

This role is to work on a contract basis for a Russell Group University on a project to revamp their research contract process. The Project Manager will require change experience as well as being able to work with people and manage stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordination and delivery of multiple and complex key strategic projects/features, in collaboration with subject matter experts, faculties and senior stakeholders
  • Ensuring a focus on people throughout: delivering change while building trust and buy-in
  • Communication and collaboration: working in a collaborative manor across UCL and building new approaches to solve complex problems
  • Risk mitigation: managing project/product risks, issues and dependencies, and co-ordinate resolution
  • Ability to work within a SAFe Agile environment, including Termly Increment (TI) Planning, as well as with Product Teams.
  • Good governance: working within UCL SAFe Agile and programme norms and best practice

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in Public Sector would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Governance and policy type of processes on a large scale
  • Successful involvement in service design, development and/or organisational change project work
  • Stakeholder management, able to work with senior leaders and peers in a collaborative and consultative manner that enables delivery
  • Successful end-to-end project delivery, from scoping to achieving outcomes
