This is an upcoming position to begin recruitment for the incumbent in Q1 2025, as part of the wider strategic development of the business in the EMEA region. This long-term contract opportunity will offer the opportunity for continuous development throughout 2025 and beyond.

Role Overview:

As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s compliance framework, ensuring full adherence to regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of compliance across the business. Reporting to the Board and senior stakeholders, you will lead the compliance function and act as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework aligned with UK and international regulatory standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulators, including the FCA and PRA, managing relationships and responding to queries and audits.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on regulatory changes and their impact on the business.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the compliance team, ensuring a high level of expertise and engagement.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Deliver compliance training across the organisation, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the Board and senior management, highlighting key risks and recommending mitigations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior compliance role within financial services, with extensive knowledge of FCA and PRA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory frameworks, including AML, KYC, and GDPR.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Strategic mindset, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving compliance improvements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with regulators and external partners.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICA Diploma in Compliance, CFA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
