The Client
Harmonic are excited to be working with a disruptive Fit-Out business whose early success in the corporate, hospitality, and restaurant space has them looking to expand their Operations department. This company is in a unique position where their sustainable approach is remarkably complimented by exceptional designs and projects, making them the industry leader of their space.
This company has been able to grow to over circa 10 million turnover while maintaining a team of 20 high calibre professionals who are experts in their field. With an influx of incoming projects with brand new industry leading clients, this is a pivotal point for the company's development. This role offers a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual with a talent for strategic leadership, project management, operational efficiency expertise to work alongside entrepreneurial professionals in a dynamic, and inclusive culture.
The Role
Reporting into the Founder, you will own the Operations function and play a key role in the strategic decision-making of the business. Taking responsibility for development of operational efficiency and project management workflows, your input and insightful analysis will be highly valued when working hand in hand with the Founder to establish the company's strategic roadmap.
This position will additionally provide a unique opportunity to work cross functionally with different departments within the company. This Head of Operations plays a pivotal role in leading the Project Management team to exceptional and consistent delivery, ensuring alignment with business processes and systems, while being the driving force behind success and innovation that sets new industry standards and inspires the future of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic decisions on resourcing, risks, and opportunities as part of the Leadership Team.
- Eliminate inefficiencies by partnering with the Founder to implement transformative processes.
- Drive innovative training and onboarding programs to boost team performance.
- Oversee budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
- Represent the company in client meetings and lead pitches for new business.
- Own key metrics like resource allocation, supply chain risks, and operational flow.
- Lead the Project Management Team, optimising structure and performance.
- Set KPIs, monitor progress, and ensure accountability through appraisals.
- Enhance client experience through seamless project execution and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and sustainability initiatives, focusing on carbon and waste reduction.
What our client needs to see (required):
- 5+ years in senior operations roles (project management, procurement).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong process improvement and compliance management experience (ISO desirable).
- Hands-on project management experience with multi-phase projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Dynamic, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
What we'd like to see (preferred):
- Experience within a corporate consulting firm.
- Knowledge of supply chain risk management.
- Passion for sustainability initiatives.
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + bonus + benefits
Start Date: Flexible
