Eames Consulting is currently partnering with a leading international insurer on the appointment of an HR Compliance Officer. This role will be based in London and aids the Global Head of Operations in driving robust HR compliance outcomes across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the integration of new senior managers and certified employees, ensuring full compliance with SMCR and SEAR standards.
- Oversee the regulatory referencing process, ensuring the provision of accurate, comprehensive, and timely information as per FCA, PRA, and SEAR requirements.
- Carry out in-depth fit and proper evaluations, including checks on criminal records, credit scores, work history, references, and professional qualifications/competency.
- Regularly update and maintain documentation related to the onboarding, fit and proper evaluations, and certification procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Conduct Rules training and attestation requirements.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with SMCR and SEAR compliance obligations.
- Continuously monitor compliance with SMCR and SEAR processes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with the business and P&S teams.
- Create and implement a robust framework for tracking team performance and take action based on the results.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in HR within a regulated financial services environment.
- Prior knowledge of FCA/PRA SMCR and CBI SEAR regimes.
- Experience conducting fit and proper checks, including criminal, credit and employment checks.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to HR processes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
