I'm currently working with a highly impressive Listed Mining Business to secure an Interim FP&A Lead.

This role is initially offered as a 6-month contract, with a competitive day rate ranging from 400 to 500 (inside IR35 - Umbrella).

This ambitious, technology-driven business has recently secured significant backing in the market and is now poised to scale its operations and finance functions to support global expansion and entry into new markets.

The Role:

  • Support the 2025 Budget process, in particular manage the budget / plan consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Play a key part in the preparation and analysis of the 2025 Budget, ensuring it incorporate inputs from various business units.
  • Build out and consolidate budget scenarios using advanced Excel, while preparing to integrate these with AiQ's budgeting tools post-approval.
  • Support quarterly re-forecasting processes and provide financial analysis for long-term business planning.
  • Deliver management reporting for the organisation, including variance analysis and actionable insights. This cover full business including all subsidiaries and JV partners.
  • Prepare presentation of budget scenarios for senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance to support decision making.
  • Monitor and track cost performance, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions to support cost control.
  • Provide commercial support in the review and analysis of key contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate on system integration efforts with AiQ, ensuring actuals from Xero/Pronto are accurately reflected in budgeting tools post-approval.

Your Profile:

  • Accomplished and experienced accountant with substantial post-qualification expertise.
  • Proven expertise in excel build-out, data consolidation, and presenting budget scenarios to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in system integration of financial tools, particularly integrating budget tools with actuals from systems like Xero and Pronto.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles/IFRS reporting standards, budgeting processes and cost performance tracking.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software (eg. AIQ, Pronto, Xero) and their PO and CO modules.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong capacity for building and maintaining effective relationships.
