The company understands that not everyone fits into a standard lending criteria, and they aim to provide accessible and responsible lending options to a wide range of customers.The Mortgage Compliance Officer RoleAs a Mortgage Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies on a variety of mortgage cases. Your primary responsibility will be to perform comprehensive audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.Mortgage Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of mortgage files, loan documents, and processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Stay up to date with changes in mortgage laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the management team and staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to address compliance issues and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies and procedures, promoting a culture of compliance awareness.
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance reports and documentation to management and regulatory agencies, as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and remediation efforts.

The Mortgage Compliance Officer Package

  • Hours: 9am - 5:30pm
  • Monday to Thursday - Office Based
  • Friday Working from home
  • Basic Salary: £35k - £45k DOE
  • 25 Holiday days per year

Mortgage Compliance Officer Relevant Qualifications (Essential)

  • Compliance experience within financial services
  • Awareness of the CA's regulatory approach and framework
  • Able to work individually and collaboratively in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills.
  • Strong objection handling and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Positive attitude towards challenges and change
  • Strong team and work ethic

Mortgage Compliance Officer Desirable Skills
