The Greater London Authority are looking to recruit a Project Officer to join the Making Space for Culture team. This role involves working closely with senior officers to support the delivery of strategic projects such as the Thames Estuary Production Corridor and the International Centre for the Creative Industries. The successful candidate will also contribute to research commissions aimed at delivering updated evidence on cultural infrastructure across London.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with senior officers to support the delivery of strategic cultural projects.
  • Coordinate and manage external services including consultants and service providers.
  • Assist in public sector procurement processes.
  • Support grant application processes and manage grant administration.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including Advisory Boards, to gather insights and promote project objectives.
  • Facilitate meetings and communications related to project deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing external services such as consultants and service providers.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement and grant management processes.
  • Strong ability to engage with external stakeholders and advisory boards.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities.
  • A background in cultural infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
