The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is looking for someone with your skill set and love of organisation, to join their busy Regulatory Governance team. We are looking for an experienced coordinator to take on a Regulatory Governance Executiverole, to be a lynchpin within the team—the cornerstone of smooth and efficient operations.

RICS is a globally recognised professional organisation with over 130,000 members around the world. At its core is the Standards and Regulation Board (SRB) which serves as the organisation’s superior regulatory board and oversees RICS’ regulatory, education and standards functions, The Board, along with its sub-boards, committees, and working groups, is made up of approximately 50 senior experts worldwide.

The SRB is responsible for upholding the integrity of the profession by setting strategies, overseeing standards, and driving decisions that impact surveying professionals and the public across the globe. Supporting this crucial work is a dedicated Regulatory Governance team of three.

This small but highly effective team ensures the SRB’s operations run seamlessly, connecting stakeholders and managing logistics on a global scale...this is where you come in.

As a Regulatory Governance Executive, you’ll play a central role in keeping everything on track—from coordinating meetings to organising high-profile events and supporting key decisions that shape the industry.

What will you be doing?

  • Handling the Details: Creating and distributing board packs, taking accurate minutes during meetings, and tracking follow-ups to ensure actions are completed.
  • Planning Like a Pro: Organising events, from regular meetings across time zones, to the annual two-day SRB gathering (potentially international), and ensuring every detail is perfect.
  • Working with High-Profile Stakeholders: Liaising with government officials and international SRB members as well asinternal stakeholders including the Governance team, the RICS Executive leadership team, and the Presidential team, facilitating seamless communication and coordination.
  • Supporting the Team: Arranging global travel, processing invoices, and meeting the operational and administrative needs of the team.
  • Connecting the Dots: Collaborating with the internal Talent team and external recruiters, coordinating recruitment and recruitment documentation, assisting appointment panels, and ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and stakeholders.

There are a few things we think you will need to ensure you get off to the best start in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role — by this we mean busy and varied. We would love it particularly if it involved governance or administrative support for senior boards or committees.
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure — keeping things moving, even when it’s busy.
  • A pragmatic approach - especially when things change and when juggling multiple individuals meeting availability across time zones
  • Proven experience juggling multiple priorities and deadlines — keeping things going while maintaining high-quality output is very important.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with organising virtual meetings using tools like Teams or Zoom.
  • Excellent written skills, with strong spelling and grammar, ensuring all documentation is clear, professional, and impactful.
  • Confidence in speaking up during meetings — sometimes you will need to stop meetings to ask for clarification for note-taking purposes or confirm process and protocol.
  • A proactive and positive team-centric attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively - working as part of a small team requires a team-first approach.
  • Strong attention to detail—especially when preparing board packs, taking minutes, and managing action trackers.
  • A genuine interest in working with high-profile stakeholders and supporting the work of an internationally focused board.
  • An eye for detail and pride in getting things right the first time.

Key information we think you might want to know:

  • Location: Hybrid, with London or Birmingham as your office base (minimum 2 days office).
  • Hours: Full-time, 35 hours Monday to Friday. Condensed hours also considered.
  • Contract: Permanent with hybrid working.
  • Salary: Circa ÂŁ30,000.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to the other RICS office, and some occasional international travel.
