Your new companyHays are working with a leading property and construction consultancy that has a strong presence across the UK. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional services in the built environment, focusing on a range of industries including schools/education, cladding, fit-out and many more.

Your new roleWe are looking for an experienced Senior CDM Advisor / Principal Designer to join a dynamic team in which the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design safety across a variety of projects.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design process, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety risks during the design phase.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project safety.
  • Oversee a variety of small and large projects
  • Support the Associate Director and Director as well as mentor junior colleagues.
  • Conduct design reviews and hazard assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain pre-construction information and health and safety files.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Significant experience as a Principal Designer with a strong understanding of CDM regulations.
  • NEBOSH Qualification or other relevant health and safety qualifications
  • Technical qualifications in construction, engineering, or architecture.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with BIM and other design software is a plus.
