Our client is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to provide first-class, commercially focused compliance advisory support within real assets. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be advising, challenging, reviewing, training and supporting the business to understand its regulatory responsibilities and comply with regulations. You will possess strong experience of European financial regulation, such as AIFMD and a background across real assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercially focused compliance advisory support to the business in respect of one or more asset classes or business areas.
  • Analyse emerging and developing regulation to support business stakeholders in understanding direct and indirect impacts.
  • Ensure that own activity delivers risk-based conduct risk and compliance value add.
  • Develop close working relationships with business stakeholders within asset class or business area for which responsible.
  • Maintain an open dialogue with all stakeholders, proactively suggesting ways in which the business can further understand, take responsibility for and mitigate its conduct risk profile.
  • Work with the Head of Asset Class Oversight to ensure that timely, relevant and accurate conduct risk metrics/MI is available for allocated asset class.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience of European financial regulation, such as AIFMD
  • Significant exposure to direct investment management across asset classes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end investment process.
  • Detailed understanding of global regulation and of compliance and conduct risk within an investment management environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to remain independent while providing commercial, practical solutions for the business.
