Our client are a UK baking/sweets manufacturer of World Food products. They are looking for a Technical Manager/ Food Safety Manager to report directly into the director, conduct audits (SALSA) and regularly review food safety procedures to ensure they are up to date.
Description
As the Technical Manager/Head of Food Safety, your responsibilities include:
- Conducting external audits, including SALSA, and ensuring all food safety procedures are up-to-date.
- Leading the Food Safety Team and managing the implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Reporting FSMS performance and improvement needs to top management.
- Promoting food safety awareness across the organisation.
- Developing and reviewing prerequisite programs (PRPs) and food safety processes, including hazard analysis and supplier evaluations.
- Overseeing internal audits, corrective actions, and product recalls.
- Collaborating with other departments to enhance food safety practices.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Food Safety Lead or Technical Manager is required.
You'll report directly into the director, working closely with production, hygiene, logistics and warehousing ensure food safety standards are met.
Profile
- Bachelors degree in a food related degree
- At least 5 years of experience in food manufacturing (UK experience)
- Hazard analysis experience
- level 3 HACCP
- Food Safety qualification
- proven ability to lead a team
Job Offer
- An annual salary ranging from £45,000 - £50,000
