Technical Services Manager (AV)

75,000 - 85,000 and extensive package

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Technical Services Manager (MEP Manager) with CAT A and CAT B fit out experience and a keen interest in AV/IT. This Technical Service Manager role is to be based on site in Central / West London to oversee the deliver of a 12m MEP package with focus on AV/IT, reporting into the Project Director.

This includes design, procurement, contract governance, preconstruction, mobilisation, commercial aspects, planning and delivery through to hand over. You will lead a safety-first culture in all aspects of the package management process and operate in close consultation with the stakeholders and departments, both internally and externally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all elements of the MEP / AV packages, from design to delivery into service.
  • Ensuring all aspects detailed in the precontract, contract governance, mobilisation, construction, delivery and handover sections are fully adhered to.
  • Managing the relevant subcontractor, to ensure full compliance to these requirements.
  • Promoting and delivering a collaborative environment throughout all members of the team including stakeholders and the supply chain.
  • Ensuring all reports and information defined in the SWI documentation are issued in the time frames stipulated.
  • Ensuring that the programme is maintained and where programme is slipping, advising the project lead in good time.
  • Taking part in decisions affecting cost and programme, such that issues are considered holistically for the good of the overall project.
  • Assisting in the preparation of all programmes, understanding critical path activities and system constraints.
  • Reviewing and commenting on all design information, to ensure it is buildable and commissionable.
  • Ensuring robust method statements, risk assessments are in place and approved, prior to commencement of any works.
  • Leading on all aspects of quality, associated with your package responsibility.
  • Ensuring each handover date, or area completion is achieved snag-free. Ensure works are completed in time.

About you

You will have a relevant degree qualification in Construction or Project Management or Mechanical or Electrical. You are digitally savvy and can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
