I am currenlty working with a well estalished Main Contractor who specialise in Commercial Office, Cat A&B Fit Out and Refurb projects across London up to a value of circa 50mill.

They are searching for an experienced Technical Services Manager with a full understanding of both M&E package who has worked on Fit Out and Refurb projects.

Responsibilities/requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical input at tender stage, including technical overview, alternative product suggestions, review of supply chain tender returns, programme, methodology, logistics and interview preparation.
  • Managing technical procurement and programme in the preconstruction stage of each project.
  • Assisting with technical services areas of the construction programme, including implementing remedial actions to mitigate time loss, producing accurate reports on progress.
  • Working in conjunction with the commercial team to undertake cost control reviews and reporting of the same with regard to MEP works.
  • Attending design review meetings to ensure buildability and coordination is considered.
  • Managing our MEP processes with regard to;
  • Validations of existing services
  • Isolations and permit requests
  • Design management and coordination with building fabric
  • Issuing, tracking and closing out of procurement, technical submittals and samples
  • Developing, monitoring and recording of benchmarks and hold points
  • Developing, monitoring and recording of void closure inspections
  • Attending and contributing to MEP progress meetings
  • Ensuring quality expectations are met through snagging and close-out inspections
  • Review and comment on O&M Manuals and As Built drawings
  • Ensuring testing and commissioning schedules and programmes are produced and issued
  • Coordinating witnessing and training on the MEP systems prior to completion
  • Liasing with Project Director / Project Manager and commercial team to maintain and record Change Notification Procedures
  • Assisting in the production of accurate, clear and concise project reports.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and inspectors (building control, etc)
  • Managing and delivering each project in line with ODGroup QHSE guidelines and our ISO accreditations.
  • Maintaining relationships to close out post contract works as quickly and efficiently as possible.
