Our client are a leading QSR brand globally who are recruiting for a Technical Specialist in the Food manufacturing industry. This is a great opportunity to be part of a leading brand and grow with the business. You will bridge the gap between the supplier and customers regarding complaints, supplier approvals, quality and managing allergens.

Description

  • Guiding new ingredients, packaging, and menu items through approval processes (QA and PIF), sending and reviewing supplier specifications, and using the SPEQ system.
  • Monitoring communication between customers and suppliers to ensure timely updates and keeping internal teams informed of new ingredient details.
  • Ensuring adherence to project timelines, addressing delays, and providing solutions.
  • Proficiently using the SPEQ system for allergen and nutrition information, performing nutritional calculations, and compiling allergen details.
  • Managing content for Allergen and Nutrition Posters, notifying teams of allergen changes, and ensuring accurate nutrition info is updated.
  • Reviewing nutritional data against government targets, and tracking improvements.
  • Organizing and running Quality Panels to evaluate product quality and address any issues raised.
  • Assisting the Innovation Team by developing a bank of ingredients and packaging and supporting Supply Chain with supplier briefs, samples, and product testing.
  • Ensuring all new items meet required technical standards and completing the approval process.

Profile

  • 3-5+ years food/manufacturing background
  • HACCP level 3
  • Food safety qualifications
  • Degree in food ideally
