European Vape Compliance Manager

About our Client Our client are a leading Vape & E-liquid brand that are currently worldwide & have taken the market by storm since inception in 2022. They are now recognised as one of the leading brands within their industry with presence across a number of retail channels inclusive of a number of well known Supermarket chains across the UK. About the roleOur client are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented EU Compliance Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet all regulatory requirements across various EU countries, from packaging standards to go-to-market checks. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the seamless launch of our products in new territories, ensuring there are no delays due to compliance issues.Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant EU regulations and standards across different countries, including packaging, labelling, and product safety requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as Product Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Legal to ensure all compliance requirements are met prior to product launches.
  • External Communication: Liaise with external regulatory bodies, consultants, and support businesses to stay updated on changes in regulations and to address any compliance-related queries or challenges.
  • Market Entry Strategy: Support the go-to-market strategy by identifying and addressing potential regulatory hurdles that could delay product launches in new EU territories.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of compliance checks, approvals, and communications. Prepare regular reports for senior management on compliance status and potential risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve compliance efficiency and reduce time-to-market for new products. Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory updates to ensure the company remains ahead of compliance requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks associated with product launches in different EU markets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification in Compliance or Regulatory Affairs is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the EU market.
  • Strong understanding of EU regulations and standards related to product packaging, labelling, and market
  • entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with both internal teams and external
  • partners.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using compliance management tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multinational company.
  • Knowledge of multiple EU languages.
  • Experience in the consumer goods or technology sector.
