Our client is a highly recognised international engineering consultancy who provide integrated engineering services and work on an array of project sectors which include commercial, office, arena/stadiums, convention centers, airports, hospitals and education, including universities.
Due to continued increase in their workload, we are currently looking for a Senior Public Health Engineer to join their growing team in their Central London office on a contract basis for 6 months.
Role:
- Project delivery, including overseeing input from others.
- Supporting the timely invoicing and debt chasing, management of WIP and forward workload/resource planning for own projects.
- Attendance at design team, client and site meetings as required.
- Responsible for the design quality and profitable delivery of own projects.
- Demonstrate commercial thinking and client management expertise.
- Timely reporting of project/office financial information to contribute to meeting budget at team level.
- Project set-up and briefing.
- Co-ordinating and working with others in the BPE division to maintain design quality and consistency across teams.
- Working with other divisions within the company to integrate design and input to deliver a multi-discipline offering.
- Familiar with the strategic plan.
What you need to succeed in this role:
- Proven Public Health Design Engineering experience including domestic hot and cold water services, soil, waste and rainwater drainage, and above and below ground drainage.
- Experience of rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, solar hot water and innovative design would be an advantage.
- Your experience will have been gained across commercial (new build, refurbishments and fit out), residential and mixed use developments from concept, scheme and detailed design, and you should possess an in depth knowledge of Building Services Engineering Systems including their performance, application and operation.
- Relevant qualification(s) in Building Services Engineering Design (ideally a degree).
- Strong software skills, being a chartered engineer and having professional membership of SoPHE is desirable.
- Proven experience working within public health design.
- The successful candidate will be a proactive, adaptable, and approachable engineer with excellent client facing and communication skills at all levels and takes the initiative.
