The school is continuously looking for ways that can support pupils, providing them with new challenges and opportunities that allows pupils to reach their full potential both academically and socially.About your role as a Year 6 TeacherAs a Year 6 Teacher, your role will include but is not limited to:

  • Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with school policy.
  • Teaching from planned objectives, which take account of differentiation to achieve progression in pupil's learning, setting clear targets for pupils' learning based on prior attainment.
  • Set, mark, and monitor the pupils' assigned work, including homework.
  • Fulfil the school's and national assessment, recording and reporting system as appropriate.
  • Manage, with support, the work of Learning Support Assistants and other helpers in class to enhance children's learning.
  • Take part fully in primary school duties such as supervising playtimes, taking whole school assemblies and class assemblies.
