This full-time position is offered through an agency and provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and pastoral support to children in the classroom, under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Work with small groups and individual students to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Support children with additional needs, tailoring your approach to suit their individual requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements

  • A degree in Psychology, Sport, Social Care, Arts, Education, or a related field is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning environments and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
