Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Greenwich
Remedy are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a lovely mainstream primary school in the Greenwich area. This is a full time, long-term position to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with ASD.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
- Understanding and updating EHCPs
- Preparing engaging and stimulating learning activities, including sensory activities
- Working closely with other members of staff, including teaching assistants and class teachers
- Building rapport with students and parents
Position Details:
- Location: Greenwich
- Position: ASD Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 8:30am-3:45pm
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £100 - £110 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Long-term ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting primary aged pupils is essential, in particular EYFS
- Previous experience supporting SEN
- Sensory/Makaton experience is highly desired
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH REMEDY, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
