Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Greenwich

Remedy are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a lovely mainstream primary school in the Greenwich area. This is a full time, long-term position to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with ASD.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
  • Understanding and updating EHCPs
  • Preparing engaging and stimulating learning activities, including sensory activities
  • Working closely with other members of staff, including teaching assistants and class teachers
  • Building rapport with students and parents

Position Details:

  • Location: Greenwich
  • Position: ASD Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:45pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £100 - £110 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Long-term ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting primary aged pupils is essential, in particular EYFS
  • Previous experience supporting SEN
  • Sensory/Makaton experience is highly desired
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH REMEDY, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
