Key Responsibilities for a Sales & Account Manager
- Develop and maintain detailed market knowledge of each agency on your panel, including corporate structures, market sectors, PSL data, and competitor activity.
- Build strong relationships through business development activities, identifying and engaging key influencers and sales consultants.
- Track and analyse competitor activity to ensure a competitive advantage and provide feedback to inform marketing strategies and business planning.
- Create and execute a growth strategy for each agency, aligning with company targets and collaborating with regional sales teams.
- Drive new business by onboarding agencies and increasing engagement with sales consultants.
- Deliver training and educational content to enhance clients’ understanding of contractor management services and regulatory compliance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, legislation, and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing expert guidance to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system and contribute to monthly sales meetings and business strategy discussions.
Key Skills & Experience for a Sales & Account Manager
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development, ideally within contractor management, recruitment, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Umbrella, CIS, PEO, and Limited Company services, with an understanding of industry regulations such as IR35, AWR, and Pension Auto-Enrolment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Confident in delivering training and industry insights to clients.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and strong organisational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach, able to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Willingness to travel and attend client meetings, sometimes outside standard business hours.
