Product Engineering Lead London / WFH to £150k+

Are you a technology leader with Recommendations experience?

You could be taking on a high profile role at one of Europe's most successful audio content platforms with 176 million active users and ambitious growth plans to become the world's number one music streaming service.

As a Product Engineering Lead for the Recommendations team, you'll lead a small, talented team responsible for providing actionable insights and data products around user behaviour to drive the technical strategy and execution of projects, helping music fans find the music they want (from a catalogue of around 300 million tracks) and help creators to put their content in front of the right audiences.

You'll collaborate with Product Managers and UX Researchers and will have end-to-end ownership of the software engineering and machine learning infrastructure to build and deliver search and recommendation mechanisms. You will prioritise activities, delegate and supervise all engineers' deliverables, providing coaching and mentoring and be responsible for growing the team.

Location / WFH:

You'll be able to work from home / remotely fulltime, with the caveat that'll join the team in London once a month.

About you:

  • You have experience of managing software engineers and data scientists in building data driven products and implementing Machine Learning algorithms at scale
  • You have a strong engineering background with knowledge and experience of Recommendation engines and Machine Learning systems, you're able to evaluate complex technical decisions
  • You can establish a technical roadmap that balances product and engineering concerns
  • You have an extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • You have advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • You have experience of recruiting technical team members
  • You have excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
