We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study to determine the viability of establishing a collection centre in the UK. This role requires a combination of medical expertise, regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and strong project management skills. The successful candidate will guide strategic decisions that will significantly impact our mission in the fight against cancer.

This is a 12-month contract with the potential for this to be extended to 18 months.

There will be some travelling involved in the role, especially once the implementation stage is completed.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the feasibility study project from initiation to completion, providing a decision proposal for management.
  • Develop a project plan, scope, objectives, phases, milestones, timeframe, resources, cost overview, risks, and assumptions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate the potential of setting up a collection centre.
  • Collaborate with medical experts to align study objectives with medical requirements and donor safety.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure high standards of quality.
  • Ensure all study activities comply with UK regulations and prepare necessary documentation for regulatory bodies.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, gathering input and ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Assess and select appropriate medical equipment and technology, coordinating with technical experts to meet all standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a relevant role.
  • Proven project management experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of UK healthcare regulations and standards related to blood and bone marrow collection.
  • Strong understanding of medical standards and compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK regulatory requirements.
  • Quality assurance and control skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Technical acumen in medical equipment management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
