About us:

We're a family run, independent Timber Merchant, offering every range applicable to the building trade. We also have specialist departments in Electrical Supplies, Plumbing Supplies and Bathroom sales.

About the role:

  • Serving customers via telephone and on the trade counter
  • Sales development
  • Assisting with general branch duties
  • Placing customer orders
  • Carrying out stock checks
  • Replenishing stock and helping keep the front of house presentable
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Assisting in the warehouse as required

About you:

Experience

  • Proven experience of within the timber / builders merchant
  • Knowledge of timber-based / building materials
  • Successful track record within the construction supply sector
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Flexible approach to duties and tasks

  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
