Role Overview: We are seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in a significant re-cladding project involving over 760 residential properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control, compliance with fire safety standards, and managing project documentation, with a focus on maintaining a comprehensive information trail throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

  • Provide technical expertise in cladding systems, ensuring compliance with stringent fire safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of contractor performance, addressing any defects or non-conformances.

Flexibility & Operational Support:

  • Support operational tasks as needed, including resident engagement and on-site logistics.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to address emerging project needs, including potential out-of-hours work.

Documentation Management:

  • Ensure the integrity of project documentation, particularly related to fire safety and compliance.
  • Oversee the organisation and maintenance of quality records and certifications.

Fire Safety & Resident Engagement:

  • Monitor the quality and safety of cladding systems, prioritising resident safety.
  • Engage with residents to address concerns and minimise disruption, especially for vulnerable individuals.

Collaborative Working:

  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to uphold quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and drive continuous improvement measures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality management within construction or building projects, particularly with fire safety and cladding systems.
