New opportunity for a Post Production Director to oversee post production operations covering multi market productions for a global publishing group. This role reports to the US Based Executive Director, Global Head of Production Operations & Post Production. This will initially be a contract (outside IR35) running until the end of the year and will be based in the London office. Candidates must have experience of managing teams, workflow optimization, client relations and full knowledge of Adobe Suite. An ad agency, creative content or post house background would be ideal for this position The role will involve making sure all projects run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining good relationships and communication with market video leads, Commercial Production & Activation collaborators, as well as numerous other internal teams and outside vendors. The Post Production Director will directly manage the day to day execution of post production for commercial multi-market productions and work with market leads and post affiliated staff members in local markets to ensure consistent, reliable post processes. This candidate should be highly organised, able to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, understand the needs of post staff, anticipate upcoming projects, be able to both work hands-on and delegate accordingly, as well as perform well under tight deadlines. Primary Responsibilities: - Manage numerous projects from a variety of markets (UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and Middle East) across several editors, vendors, producers, and clients concurrently - Assign, schedule, track, and project manage video post production from start to distribution on schedule and on budget; be able to pinpoint any project and deliverable at any time for delivery timing and evaluation - Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper resourcing for every aspect of, and scheduling for every project. Including: offline editing, online editing, color, sound mix, graphics and localization - Determine and manage resource priorities when creative, deadlines, or other variables shift - Coordinate with global post production teams to ensure successful resourcing, communication, and workflows - Work with department leaders to create documentation and roll out Central Global Video post systems to European and Middle East markets - Collaborate with commercial producers and editors during post production, facilitating notes and providing creative and technical notes as needed. Be a throughline from pre-pro to delivery - Ensure post receives all necessary media and paperwork required to complete productions - Review content throughout the post process; provide quality-control feedback (audio, color, copy, design) to editors during a project, and provide feedback on edit resources and production to senior post management - Source and hire freelance post resources and post vendors across Europe and the Middle East -Provide frequent, concise, and accurate communication with all stakeholders regarding project delivery, including Scheduling, Video Operations/Publishing, and Production - Generate final deliverables including simple tweaks for titles and format - Collaborate with support and engineering teams to resolve technical issues impacting post productions globally - Coordinate with Producers, Production Managers and other post team members by providing post schedules and estimated resource needs for accurate pricing and budgeting, and provide post actuals upon wrap of a project - Work with US Post Production leadership on special projects in Western Europe and ME and provide overflow coverage as needed Desired Skills and Qualifications: - Expert knowledge of post production processes, workflows, and best practices, including scheduling and final deliverables - Proven track record of managing client-based commercial post projects - Significant post freelancer and vendor contacts throughout Europe and the Middle East - Experience creating commercial post-production schedules and budgets - A strong leader and positive team presence, with at least 2 years as a people manager - Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects) and project management tools (Airtable) required; experience as an editor a plus - Top-notch organizational skills, ability to take direction and give orders as needed - Work independently and with teams, able to decipher problems and create solutions - Self-driven and able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary - Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment - Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver, with the ability to overcome technical challenges as necessary - Experience of working in a global environment and building solid working relationships with stakeholders across different time zones and markets. - An excellent communicator, with the proven ability of navigating a complex matrix structure, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders in various markets and functions.
