Duties

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of shift engineers and technicians, ensuring high standards of performance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical escalations and emergency situations during the shift.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and SLAs.
  • Conduct shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of outstanding tasks, incidents, and system status.
  • Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and fault diagnosis across critical systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of critical assets, such as UPS systems, generators, switchgear, chillers, and building management systems (BMS).
  • Monitor and respond to alarms via the BMS and other monitoring platforms, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Act as an HV Authorised Person (HV AP), responsible for switching, isolation's, and issuing permits to work on HV systems.
  • Perform safe switching operations and maintenance on high-voltage and low-voltage equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and generators.

  • C&G/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
  • 18th Edition
  • C&G 2391 (Desirable)
  • High-Voltage Authorised Person (Essential)
