We are seeking a Design Manager to lead the production and delivery of design proposals, ensuring compliance with employer requirements, legislation, and best practice standards. This role involves spearheading the introduction of innovative services, enhancing installation practices through technological advancements, and maintaining close liaison with key industry partners to meet evolving business needs.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Create and validate security system design proposals that align with employer requirements and specifications.
  • Research and implement additional services as defined by company Directors, including planning, timelines, training, and delivery.
  • Drive innovation by leveraging technology to improve system performance and optimize installation practices.
  • Collaborate with the wider group to streamline business system implementation and migrate to a database information environment.
  • Lead the development of the business technology roadmap to keep the company at the forefront of industry innovation.
  • Manage a team of design, networking, fire, technical, and compliance executives to ensure delivery of proposals, standards, and information.
  • Work closely with the estimating department to ensure tenders are built and submitted according to client requirements and specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role, preferably in the security systems industry.
  • Strong understanding of system design, networking, and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of technical professionals.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills for effective partnership with clients and industry partners.
  • Experience in project management, including scope document development, timeline creation, and training delivery.
  • Knowledge of current technological trends and the ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with ERP and database environments is advantageous.
