Venn Group is recruiting for a Programme Manager to support a Local Authority in London to lead on developing an improved, insight-led approach to strategic planning and delivering organisational reporting on the council’s corporate delivery plan.
IR35 Status: Inside of IR35
Location: London
Hybrid Working: 2-3 days per week onsite
The Programme Manager scope of work will include:
- Diagnostics and review of current reporting arrangements and rhythm of the current Council Delivery Plan process, including any review of best practice in other local authorities
- Identification and development of proposals for improvement
- Develop a new organisational approach for the strategic and future planning of the council delivery plan reporting
- Creating high-quality reporting approaches on the Council Delivery Plan that drives a culture of innovation and curiosity for the team to follow and also provides insight for senior leadership and members to consider
Desired Skills and Experience of the Programme Manager:
- Demonstratable experience in Programme Management with an emphasis on process improvement, stakeholder engagement, relationship management, planning and delivery
- Experience of working in Local Government alongside members and senior leadership
- Strong knowledge of corporate services in a local government context, specifically strategy, policy and performance for delivery of council strategy and delivery plan
- Ability to develop clear governance standards and frameworks
