We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultancy Project Manager to join our growing team. Partially remote. must be available for one day a week in the Central London office.In this role, you will take responsibility for the successful development and delivery of a diverse range of consultancy projects, some of which are multi-year and involve international partnerships. These projects span multiple sectors, from academic consultancy to expert witness services and bespoke training programs, with a focus on delivering tangible, high-impact results across both the public and private sectors.

You will have the opportunity to lead and manage projects that tackle a variety of complex issues, including but not limited to international development, public policy, cutting-edge research, and industry-specific solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary consultancy projects, overseeing all stages from scoping and planning to execution and delivery.

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a variety of external clients, partners, and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and project success.

  • Supervise and mentor project coordinators, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high performance across project teams.

  • Manage and mitigate project risks, developing and implementing strategies for risk prevention and problem-solving.

  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained, including schedules, budgets, progress reports, and other key management tools.

  • Be responsible for contract, financial, and performance management throughout the life cycle of projects.

  • Collaborate with various teams to support the preparation of tenders, pricing proposals, and contractor selection processes.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment, supporting colleagues in achieving corporate and project goals.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree-level qualification and a recognized project management certification.

  • Extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary projects, with a strong track record of successful delivery across a variety of sectors.

  • Experience working on both domestic and international projects, with a focus on consultancy in complex environments.

  • Strong risk management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences, including non-specialists.

  • Exceptional numeracy skills and the ability to manage project budgets and financial reports with high accuracy.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for managing data, budgets, and reporting.

  • Previous experience working with public sector clients, particularly within the fields of education, government, or international development, is highly desirable.
