Project Manager | £negotiable | Outside IR35 | City of London

Rate: Day rate is negotiable based on experience and is outside IR35
Location: 2 days from client office in Blackfriars and 3 days from sites across southern England
Contract Duration: Initial 6 months

We’re working with a West-Midlands-based consultancy who have secured a large portfolio of rail upgrade works, and as such need an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects valued between £500k - £5m from start to finish

Working on the Southern Integrated Delivery (SID) framework; the scheme will revolutionise rail upgrades with efficient, sustainable solutions. It modernises tracks, signals, and electrification, improves safety at level crossings, and refurbishes key structures. Focused on reliability, accessibility, and environmental goals, SID uses innovative partnerships to deliver a safer, greener, and more efficient railway for passengers and the economy. This is a long-term contract with the opportunity for further work across the business which could include further high-profile rail projects.

The Project Manager will manage small projects valued between £500k and £5m. Responsibilities will include ensuring safety on site, planning works, managing quality and engineering compliance, and handling subcontracts. The role requires a hands-on approach to project management, with the expectation of managing junior team members as well.

To be considered for the role:

• Experienced Project Manager
• Degree/Qualification in Project Management
• Extensive rail civils project experience (main contractor)
• Candidates will ideally be APM or PRINCE2 accredited
