Job Description: Project Manager (Building Experience)
Location: London Docklands
Salary: 65,000 - 80,000
- On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for a Project Manager with Building experience to work on a 240M New Data Centre.
- My Client is a multidisciplinary construction company working as Main Contractor, delivering an abundance of Life sciences, Data Centres and construction Build projects across the UK.
- It is essential for candidates to have previous experience on Data centres / Build / Civils experience in excess of 8 years.
Role
As a Project Manager with Flynn you will be responsible formanaging projects from conception to completion ensuring that your project team deliver on time and on budget to the highest standard of quality, safety & client satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and update the master construction programme with the Contracts Manager and ensure your project meets key milestones.
- Determine staff resources for your project and communicate effectively with your team.
- Manage project quality over the lifecycle and ensure build quality meets expectations.
- Ensure project costs are managed and prelims / packages are tightly controlled.
- Work with the commercial team to deliver agreed commercial objectives for your project.
- Maintain positive relationships with the client team through concise project controls and reporting keeping them informed of all risks operationally and commercially including delays and potential claims.
Role Requirements
- Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- 8+ years construction experience with structural and civil building work.
- Data Centre experience desirable.
- Ability to effectively manage and foster high performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to plan & deliver a complex project
- Strong numeracy and report writing skills
- Ability to build & maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Understands commercial realities; proposes cost-effective solutions
