Senior Project Manager

Toro Recruitment is searching for a Senior Project Manager to join a DNO Contractor / Independent Connection Provider based in London. Our client is expanding its team and seeks a dedicated individual with proven project management experience in the Power Distribution sector.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex projects within the company, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

We are looking for candidates with experience in managing Electrical/Civils projects up to 33kv,preferably with exposure to DNO Frameworks orICP projects.

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager will include:

  • Leading and managing project teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and quality standards throughout project execution.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any project-related issues.
  • Managing project finances, including cost control, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Providing regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Overseeing the procurement of materials and services necessary for project execution.
  • Reporting to the Contracts Manager whilst overseeing the project manager, site manager and sub-contract teams

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in the Power Distribution sector.
  • Self-sufficient and able to hit the ground running on complex projects
  • Experience managing electrical projects up to 11kV or 33kV.
  • Knowledge of HSG47, Streetworks and Highways work
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage project budgets and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in project planning & management tools and software.

What this position offers:

  • Competitive salary: 65,000-75,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.
  • Probation period: 3 months
  • An office-basedrole with x1 day per week to WFH
  • Company vehicle or allowance: 500 per month.
  • Holiday entitlement: 33 days (inclusive of public/bank holidays).
