The role is focused on the monitoring and management of various aspects of the property portfolio and projects reporting to the Department Head who will remains closely involved with these aspects of the business. Portfolio

  • Maintaining and creating tenancy schedules for internal and external use and reviewing the weekly arrears report (created by others) whilst proactively tracking issues that arise including ensuring that the property managers are dealing with any arrears in a timely manner
  • Issuing regular internal reports on sales and lettings work
  • Transaction support/management (depending on experience) on a variety of commercial and residential sales and lettings/refinance work and insurance issues. This would involve liaising with stakeholders within the business and external lawyers, agents, insurance brokers and other professionals
  • Review the (usually monthly) management reports received from external property managers and highlight any issues raised to the business
  • Being a point of contact/referral for a junior colleague working on property management /facility management (tenancy management and block management ) across the portfolio

Projects

  • Assisting the Department Head with the progression of planning applications including attending all planning/design team meetings (with department head usually in attendance) and working on the coordination with external teams and maintenance of a project tracker
  • Monitoring expenditure on planning applications (consultancy and design work) against budget
  • Working with external consultants to produce ad hoc occasional comms work required for planning applications such as public consultation events or press releases
  • Some construction work (small commercial fit outs or more complex repairs) may require support in terms of helping the Department Head maintain the project trackers and monitor/manage the regulatory work (carried out by external consultants) and progress on site.
