ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a reputable organisation seeking a highly motivated People Officer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the People Operations Manager in payroll administration and process improvements
  • Assist with pension activities and maintain accurate data records
  • Contribute to employee relations cases and investigations
  • Monitor reward and recognition programmes and manage pay awards
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team for onboarding activities
  • Provide general support and guidance to team members in various HR activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new HR systems
  • Respond to general queries and provide professional advice within agreed timelines
  • Support the wider People and Culture team in project work and meeting coordination

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working in a generalist HR team providing advice and guidance
  • Proficient in payroll administration and providing pay, pension, and reward advice
  • Skilled in managing and responding to a diverse range of queries
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, and record-keeping
  • Familiarity with Civil Service Recruitment Principles
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CIPD associate membership
  • Experience with minute-taking
