We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Public Services Lecturer to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students pursuing Public Services qualifications. Your expertise will help inspire and prepare students for careers in sectors such as emergency services, law enforcement, local government, and the armed forces.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Public Services subjects at various levels (e.g., BTEC, NCFE, HNC/D, or equivalent).
Develop and update curriculum materials to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards.
Support students through academic guidance, mentorship, and pastoral care.
Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work to promote their development.
Requirements
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
Experience teaching or training in an educational or professional setting.
Strong understanding of the public services sector and its career pathways.
Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices.
Desirable:
Previous experience teaching BTEC or similar qualifications.
Industry experience within the police, fire service, armed forces, or other public service sectors.
